I encourage each of you to take at least a brief look at our calendar of organ and choral events: there is a widely varied list of such coming up in our program year, most of them are free and open to the public, and they are WELL worth attending!
I especially wish to point out two upcoming events with our second guest organist of the year: on Sunday evening, November 16, at 7:30, the brilliant international organist Jens Korndörfer will present a masterclass at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 7:30 PM. On the following Tuesday evening, November 18, he will play a recital on the “Great Organists” series at Stetson University, also at 7:30 PM. Special note concerning the Sunday evening masterclass: There is still room for at least TWO additional performers in the Sunday evening masterclass. If you are interested in playing and receiving coaching in that session, please email André Lash at Lashorgelspieler@gmail.com giving your name and (important!) the repertoire you plan to play. We look forward to hearing some splendid playing by some of our members and some wonderful coaching by this splendid guest artist. Above all, try to be present for the Tuesday evening concert at Stetson which will follow.
